Ruby Lake Lagoon Nature Reserve The Ruby Lake Nature Reserve is home to over 80 species of birds throughout the year, including one of the highest concentrations of wood ducks in British Columbia. Other birds that are commonly seen at the sanctuary include blue herons, bald eagles, tree swallows, kingfishers, hawks, ospreys, turkey vultures and hummingbirds.
